Acceptance

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
I got this quote from an email. It wasn’t the main content of the email.  It was just the little quote by the end of the content by the sender. I believe, the sender has no idea how much it knocked my heart. I don’t even know the sender. But that taught me one thing; in life, we usually focus too much on things that we thought important until we lose ourselves. We cover our eyes from anything else just because we didn’t get what we want, just because that one thing we thought the most important ones.
I was always that girl who seek for change and make it happen. I used to believe things will not change their own, we are the one to do something about it. When things are not how we thought it’s supposed to be, I start to sit by the room, silently thinking, what did I done wrong and what could be done better? I always try to seek room for improvement. I am that quiet person who constantly use my mind to think the solution. If something happen, I would strive to make it run very smoothly.
I am that person who don’t know what ‘give up’ means if that word should even exist. Most people would praise me for that, but I just thought that is common sense. We all should make sure we do our best in everything, even if we need to fight again and again.
But life isn’t that easy to predict. Even when we are ready with rain coat, umbrella, preparing for a rainy day, there are always unexpected things happen. the wind could be very strong that opening the umbrella could be the worst decision. and the coat could suddenly failed to zipped and we get all wet. If I am gonna get wet, I am just gonna get wet. I can’t change that, just need to accept. I can’t fight rain!
That is exactly what I am talking about. There are things that we all need to make sure we take care of and try to avoid. But there are also things where we just too weak to fight! Just accept the fact.
When you get sick while you know you took a very good care of what you eat and when you sleep and know when to do some exercise, you just can’t understand why you get cold. It just happens. When you tried very hard to save your money from buying unnecessary things and avoid spending too much money on thing, and you suddenly find out that you are in debt. You don’t know where is the mistake. It just happens. GOD makes it happen

I discovered that I was happier and more peaceful when I accepted what had happened instead of constantly fighting to change things.  I have to accept things as they are, and it is tough for many reasons. There may be hope down the road; maybe someday things might work out. But right now, in this moment, that’s impossible. I have chosen to accept that fully.
Yes, when you decide to accept, things will get a lot harder before it becomes any easier.
Last week was a blessing. After a month of being confused about what do I need to do and try to solve some things out, God bring me someone to learn from. She holds the answer indeed. I remembered when things were difficult and I don’t even know what to ask for when I was praying, and I could just ask for the best. God then sent me a person as a guest to our house. At first I did not notice anything, until one day she gave me a ride to school, after many times I  rejected her offer. The moment I took her hands and humbly kissed her right hand. I got out of the car with tears. BUT I  NEED TO GET TO CLASS!
That was it, the moment I know what I always wanted; not a ride to school, but the care from someone who know you can do things by your own but willing to assist regardless. I remember when I was avoiding everyone else and thought I need to solve my problems alone. I was running away from everyone so they will not affected by me, my situation and my emotion. I thought I should not bother anyone. But God put someone to listen to me. A friend. Although things didn’t get any easier, I could feel that I’ve become stronger.
But that was the prove, once I made a decision to just accept, God will help. I have to mention that I have not accept things fully but God sent me such blessings to cherish my heart. Although, when I started to love her as someone special, the next two days, I get the news that she needs to leave for good. Three days of love, I felt alive. Of course, I am very sad that she need to leave. I am sad that things were so quick but I should understand why God put her in my life even though I have not understand why happiness can’t last longer.
I can’t change anything. I can’t fight anything. She was here because she needs to leave. I should be happy for her because things went smoothly and the whole process was done. I just have to accept that she need to leave and she has her own life. I have to accept that I have my own life. I have to accept things in my life. I have to accept people in my life. I have to accept my life as it is. I must accept things those were written for me as they are. Stop asking how should I change them because there are things I just can’t! Find the lessons and purpose behind it instead.
There are two ways out of a problem: accept what’s happening, see the positive, and choose a peaceful state of mind; or fight against it, be miserable, and struggle against the universe.

The real deal is here:
Understand which battle to fight, Seek guide from GOD to make the decision.
