"Panggillah dia kemari!” perintah suaminya.
Namun ketika terjadi Perang Uhud, ia pun bersiap-siap hendak turut berjihad. Namun putra-putranya melarang.
Tatkala perang berkecamuk, kaum Muslimin berpencar.

Laziness to happiness session. ( islam )
So today i went to a World in Conversation session at campus.
I was too lazy to attend it simply because to day i have classes from 9am-12pm.then i went back home because i was hungry and need some stuffs to get done. The, about 5pm, i force myself to get out house, struggle the cold of -27C out there. Living off campus, i need to walk to the bus stop, like few blocks away, wait for the bus. Alhamdulillah, the bus came and go through everyday routine, sit and look through out the window for about half an hour before i reach campus.
That is obviously not the point. Okay, here we go, so i attend the world conversation session down at a room in Erie Hall that happened to be a video conferencing room. I thought it is gonna be some sort of instructor that will conduct the 'lecture'. But it was actually a video conference with students from university park to discuss about the world, but specifically about the Chapel Hill shooting.
We started with that. The host asked us all if we have heard about that. Honestly, most people don't know about that except for the Muslims. Sad. But yeah, that is the reason why we had this conversation anyway. Interesting, the four students from Uni Park were all from Saudi Arabia and they were all Muslims. But from the Erie side, i am the only Muslim and also the only who know about what happened.
Some of we talked about were about what do they think of the shooting. Is it really a parking dispute or it is actually a hate crime. Most of us believe that there must be more than just a parking dispute that causes the execution style murder. We started to talk about the media, how biased they all are.
It was nice to know the reality that most american do have negative images of Muslims and Islam and general. 911 and Isis really tell them to stay away from Muslims. I don't blame them to have that ignorant stereotype but i guess, i could blame them for trusting the media blindly without trying to do some research.
In the middle of the conversation, interestingly the focus turned into me. Yes, i mean me as the subject.
The host asked me about what i feel living here and if i feel secure or unsafe. Just to be completely honest, i told them that i do feel secure at some places but at the same time, i do feel very unsafe at some places. Obviously, they asked why and asked me if i can give some real life example.
At that point, the only thing i could think of is about the way i dress and not to forget about the warning i got from my instructor. I told them that sometimes people like to ask me about the way i dress and sometimes they thought it was an oppressive culture. Some of them even advice me to take off my hijab because this is a free country and no one could be able to force me to wear that.
About my instructor, i still remember that one day i got to stay after class and got the warning from her saying " don't try to convert anyone". Funny. At the time, i was about to give a speech about Islam. I mean, it was a information speech about islam and not a persuasive speech. Why should she worry? The purpose of the speech was so that i could explain something about islam since most of my audience know nothing about islam else than terrorist and oppressive. So yeah, i did get that kind of warning.
Just after i talked about that, the whole conversation was switch to me. I was very touched that people were so concern about the hardship i struggle i have gone through. It was difficult for me at the first time but i am used to it. I can tell you that i could really feel their sincerity in understanding my situation. I could not ask for more. I really appreciate that. I bluntly admit their ignorant and how they actually curious about different cultures but how the media potrayed Muslims really psychologically influence them to not to.
Also, from that session, someone started to ask me if i am going back to 'Middle East' this summer, of course my reply, i am from Malaysia ( Asia not Middle East ). And yes, insyaAllah i am going bact for visit in Malaysia. Not to forget, i got a new friend who send me back, she dont want me to wait for the bus this late at night and in this cold weather. She was asking about what islam actually is. I explained to her as best as i could since she is a catholic, it made for me even easier to explain to her by realating Jesus and everything.
Then, she was so eager to ask me about the way i dress and if i pray five times a day. Alahmdulillah. It was a very dynamic conversation. I totally love it. Thank you Allah for giving me such opportunity. Thank you all for your concern and care.
Alhamdulillah :)

Islamophobia?
Subhanallah! I can not help my self from not posting this.
This is sad. I mean, sad to know that how many people are condemning Islam and Muslims. I hate to read these posts and comments but i know i need to realize how much islam is hated.
Why oh why they are so negative about Islam. Did we Muslims potrayed a good or bad image of Islam? Did we do our job explaining the real meaning of Islam to the world. I don't mean converting them but i literally mean explaing the message to them. It is heart breaking to know the ugly reality.
I am a muslim women who proudly practicing my religion, but why do some people think muslim women are opressed? Yes, it is the fact that some muslim women were oppressed, but do you know where they are?
"Yes, in Muslim countries of course". I mean which one?
" middle east for sure".
I would say , ignorant! Please tell me that you have not finish high school.
Tell me now, did you know that the majority of muslims live in indonesia? Tell me now, why are you refering muslim country just to the Middle East?
Okay, as you wish, we will talk about middle East but please do not associate Middle East with other Muslim countries.
You who claim that women in Middle east and India or bangladesh were oppressed, where do you get your information from? Yes, some of them does but not all of them. Again, please do your research to see whether the those oppression happens only within muslim community or in other religion as well.
Let me teach you, that, when something occur with in the society, and in a region, happen to most people of the region regardless they are Muslim or Christian or Hindu, if it is because of the community regardless their religion, that is called culture. Forced marriage is common in Middle East and south Asia. That is because of the culture. The culture in those geographical area, happen to be places where Muslim are living at.
Know that it is not because of Islam that oppression is happening. It is because of the culture practice of the people since hundred of years ago. Now that Islam is taking place at those region, don't be stupid to accuse Islam to be oppressive.
Because that accusation prove how ignorant you are. Ask Muslims who live In Malaysia or Brunei or Kazakhstan or France if their women feeled oppressed. Come on, judge a religion based on its teaching. judge the teachings by the authentic book not by what you heard from the Media or from a Muslim.
A muslim can be wrong just because we are all human, and you should know that as a human, it is not right for us to generalize everyone in the same group just as bad as the one we just encountered.
Please do not paint every Muslim with the same brush.
Just like you don't want me to accuse all christians are the same just because the history of the crusades in Spain, don't do that to us Muslims.
If you really want to talk about the religion, talk about the religion. Not just about a single party or a person.
I suggest that you read the Quran to prove whether or not is Islam teaches peace. I am a Muslim who had asked my very own self why i believe in this religion though most people hated islam very much.
The answer lies everywhere in the Quran. That is why, i am still a Muslim. I am inviting you to learn islam. I wont ask you to be a Muslim but atleast get your information from the right source.
One day, when something happen to you, don't tell me that no one had ever introduce Islam to you. I did. We believe in one God, the creator of the heaven and the earth. The same God who created us all, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jesus, Moses, david, Solomon and everyone else.
God bless you.
Wallahua alam.

Tell me what's wrong!
Sometimes life is hard because you make it hard.
Looking back to my posts, i started to realize that i always write about hardship in life and how i always gone astray.
I know it is not a good thing to always complain. I know but i couldn't help my self.
Huh, it is funny somestimetimes to look back to the old days. Funny that i keep on changing myself to make sure i try to please people around me.
I found my self very different than others. Yes, i am very different. Sometimes i just don't know why but sometimes do actually do know exactly why. My differences make it difficut for people to understand me. I do things my way. I am that type of person who always make sure i do something for reason.
For that being said, i started to think again. Why am i always changing myself. Obviously because i thought i needed to change. But soon i realize that. Someone who don't want to appreciate you won't appreciate you no matter how much you sacrifice for the. Then, why wasting time pleasing them?
One of my new year resolution is to be a good friend. I hate losing friend because i love all my friend, and sometimes, a bit too much. I hate having fight with them. Having dispute mean so much to me. I hate it when we have miscommunication. Unfortunately, i am trying my best fix this problem but this really disappointing me.
I try to be as frank as could so that we won't have miscommunication. You know what will happen when we don't talk and started to assume our selves? That story made by us playing in our mind is really hurting the relationship. We started to put someone as the antagonist role without even have any valid prove why.
I have being frank, at the first place. When I say something displeasing, usually, i dare to take the risk because I don't want miscommunication happen. If i could do anything as I wish, i would just keep it within my heart and play safe not to say anything to anyone else.
But decision made that i need to say it though it will hurt someone or even hurt myself. That famous hadith says " say the truth even if it hurts" really influence my decision,
Who like it when the consequence of you telling the truth will make your beloved ones to hate you?
But i do it for Allah, because i know Allah hate a person cutting his relationship with others.
You know what? Not every good thing you do, you will get the reward now. Actually, most of your good intention will slay you off today but you will be grateful one day because of it.
Not to mention that i now hate people who do not want to say the truth. I mean, especially when it is something related to me, i really want to know if i had done something terrible. Please, do not keep itto yourself and think you had just sacrife for me by not telling me what mistake i did.
I hate someone saying nothing when there is something. I know. It is hard to express something with words when you get too disappointed. But the thing is, how would i fix my mistake if I don't i know thefact that i am hurting you?
Please dont expect things will get better if you choose not to solve the problem now. When i keep repeating my mistake, don't get frustrated with me wheni keep hurting you. Tell me that iam wrong then only i know i need to change.
Tell me, it is fair to keep on punishing me with out me knowing what is wrong?
Think, please. Don't tell me i owe you because you sacrificed a lot for me just because you keep on hiding the wound from me. If you really are a good friend, be truthful as needed!
Stop putting me in doubt. Blame not on me when you yourself don't want to make or relationship better. I tried my best, but it will be useless if i am just the one clapping.
InsyaAllah
One day, i encountered something interesting in my international management class,
We talked about culture in countries and how to deal with them. Differences can be a good thing and also can be a tough stuff to deal with.
We did compare and contrast between a society and the other. Of all, one thing really caught my attention and that is what i wanted to share right here. InsyaAllah.
Yes, insyaAllah, that is it. That is the thing i wanted to talk about. To those who are unfamiliar with that phase, it can be translated as ' if God will' or 'God willing'.
Since i live here, i noticed one thing. Most american hate that phase. I might be wrong but based on my observation, i can tell how much they hate uncertainty. I grew up as a Muslim and in south east asia, i could say that what we meant by insyaAllah is actually different with what they thought.
In class, they question the ability to plan in that 'insyaAllah' society. They thought, when we leave everything to God, we don't need to plan. They said, why do they need to plan for something when things are all surrendered to destiny to happen or not.
I say, according to their definition of god willing, that might be true. But to me and my society, the definition is the other way around. It is not giving up. When we say insyaAllah, It is a way to recognize that every thing cannot happen without His permission.
In planning, we do plan ahead, the difference is just that we will say insyaAllah or if God will, simply because we believe anything can happen out of our control.
The main reason for Muslims to say insha’Allah is to recognise that an event in the future will happen only if God wills it. So when I say “I’ll go to the dentist this morning before work, insha’Allah,” I am acknowledging that what I intend to do cannot be fully guaranteed. I concede to the presence of God in my daily life, and His ultimate control over the coordination and course of the minute and substantial happenings of my life.

Sorry friend!
Have you ever wonder or ever have a dream to have a very good friend?
Although i don't know your definition of friend, i would rather share mine.
I don't need a friend who always be physically infront of me, but i need someone who always be there to motivate me.
I don't need someone to cry with me when i run into tears, i just need someone to calm me down with words of wisdom.
I don't need someone to totally understand me and my feelings, but i atleast need someone to have that care for me.
I don't need someone to always say yes to my decisions, but i actually need someone who could argue with me and make me realize my mistakes so that i can fix it
Hmmph, i don't need someone to always listen to me, but i need someone to respect my feelings, acknowledge my existance.
I don't need a person to always make me laugh, but i need, very badly, someone who can make me cry thinking of my deaths to come.
I really don't need someone to sacrifice his or her feeling for me, i just need a truthful friend, so that we can communicate in the best manner.
I don't need a friend to tell me how beautiful i am, or how smart i am, i just need someone who can keep my secrets when i tell him or her.
I dont expect someone to love me like i love them, but i really hate having a friend hating me without me knowing.
I am searching for a perfect friend. I could not find why. I started to hate this world. I started to get upset with my life. Worse, i started to hate most people.
Then i realize, the problem is, me. I did not acknowledge my friend here, my very close friend. The only who understand and support me going through this hard life. The one who always listen to my heart. The only to give me what i really want in life. When i almost give up, this friend is there, motivating me that life is not about the people around me. This friend tells me where my fault is. This friend who will never laugh at me when i make mistake.
This friend is a very good friend. I really want to write this post just for this friend. I just want to say sorry that i always neglect you. I am ashamed of my self that i was looking for that perfect friend but yet i have you since ever. Thank you dear friend, thank you. I would like to say i love you so much.
Thank you for making this life difficult that i could spend more time with you. Thank you for putting others away from us that i could love you more.
Thank you Allah. You make this life hard, but you are also the one who helped me through these. I almost give up that no one could understand me. But you were there, waiting for me crying to you.
Thank you Allah, again, thank you Allah !!!
